The SLD8 steel is modified on the base of SLD. As the quantity of adding vanadium, the property of machining is increased remarkably; the property of flexibility is 50％ better than that of SLD. As for the aspect of backfire, the hardness can also reach to HRC62-63 if back fire in 530℃. Using this characteristic, the shortcomings of deforming and cracking during cutting will be restrained. It is mostly used in precision hardware die molding or precision parts die requiring for high flexibility and wear resistance.
