1. The DC53 steel is improved on the base of SKD11. The hardness after heat treatment is higher than that of SKD11, reaching to 62-63HRC if back fire in high temperature (520-530℃); and the strength is also higher than that of SKD11.
2. The flexibility is two times of SKD11, more outstanding in cold working die steel, so there is little crack during manufacturing, which greatly improves service life.
3. The residual stress after linear cutting is greatly reduced through backfire in high temperature. Therefore, the crack and deforming of large dies and precision dies shall be restrained after linear cutting.
4. The performance of cutting is preceded to that of SDK11 so that the service life is prolonged and the machining procedure is reduced.
Uses: punching die, cold-work molding die, cold drawing die, molding roller, precision punching for linear cutting, as well as various pressing dies and plastic deformed tools.
Characteristics:
(1) good performance of being shaved and grinded;
Both the properties of being shaved and grinded are more excellent than that of SKD11, so the service life of machining tools is longer.
(2) advantages of heat treatment
The performance of fire quenching is more excellent than that of SKD11, so the lack of hardness in vacuum heat treatment can be improved.
(3) advantages of linear cutting
Back fire in high temperature so that the residual stress can be eliminated, which prevents from chapping and deforming produced in linear cutting.
(4) advantages of surface treatment
The surface hardness after treated is higher than that of SKD11, so the die’s properties can be improved.
(5) advantages of welding
The temperature before and after heated is lower than that of SKD11, so it is much easier to weld.
